Obituary for Earnest Julian Causey

Earnest Julian Causey, age 71 of Carrollton, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018. He was born May 16, 1946 in Carroll County, Georgia, son of the late Weems P. “Bud” Causey and Helen L. Blair Causey. He proudly served in United States Army during Vietnam and later had a career in construction finishing sheet rock. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Causey; aunt, Louise West; and a brother-in-law, Bill Young. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Toffee Causey of Franklin; step-son, Gerald Smith of Carrollton; sister, Brenda Young of Villa Rica; brother, Johnny Mac Causey of Carrollton; two granddaughters, Lacey Causey and Charlee Causey; special cousin, Diane Turner of Carrollton; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted Friday, May 4, 2018 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Derek Harper officiating. A committal service will be performed in the Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with the American Legion Post #143 serving as pallbearers and performing military honors. Honorary pallbearers will be Carrollton City Fire Department and Fairplay Wrecker Service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the hour of service.
