Obituary for Eva Mae Denney Duke

Eva Mae Denney Duke, age 75 of Carrollton, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018. She was born May 6, 1942 in Troup County, daughter of the late, Zachery Denney and Lila Mae Smith Denney. She worked as a seamstress for Ray Sewell’s manufacturing and attended Harmony Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Lee Duke; son, Ricky Noles; sister, Becky Cook; and brother, Guy Denney. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Bonnie Noles of Carrollton; daughter-in-law, Jean Kindrick Noles of Bremen; three brothers, Z. B. Denney of Longbeach, MS, Russell Denney of Longbeach, MS, and Clifford (Beth) Denney of Hogansville, GA; one granddaughter, Alisha Noles of Bremen; and one great granddaughter, Ava Jewell Noles. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 2:00 from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Anthony Puckett officiating. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens. Those serving as pallbearers will be Justin Jones, Tommy Jones, Michael Jones, Glenn Nixon, David Jones and Sam Jones. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel of Carrollton has charge of the arrangements.
