Obituary for Joey Pyron

Mr. Joey Lee Pyron, age 64 of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 at his residence. He was born June 1, 1953 in Carrollton, Georgia the son of the late Grady Pyron and the late Vera Cowart Pyron. He was a retired warehouseman, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a member of Lowell United Methodist Church. He loved music, flowers, the beach and the mountains, but most of all, his love for his family was the strongest. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters: Joyce Hendrix, June Eason; and brothers, Jimmy Pyron and Darrel Pyron. Survivors include his wife, Claudia Darst Pyron; daughter and son-in-law, Chrissy & Ryan Meadows of Carrollton; son and daughter-in-law, Steve & Gayla Pryon of Franklin; two grandchildren, Aleigha Meadows and Emily Shelnutt. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 4:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in Lowell UMC Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
