Obituary for John E. Craig

John E. Craig, age 52 of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away June 24, 2018. He was born May 16, 1966 in Chico, California, son of the late Mildred Woodby Craig and the late George E. Craig. Before his health failed, he worked as a manager for Multi Pest. Mr. Craig was a faithful member of New Beginnings Church of God where he actively served in the music ministry. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Renee` Treece. He is survived by his wife, Kerry Maxwell Craig of Carrollton; his children, Kimberly Duke of Carrollton, Tera Brook of Dallas, GA, Matt Sailors of Carrollton, and Kelli Craig of Maryland; and five grandchildren, Karsyn, Ryleigh, Coleson, Anna Kate, and Ava. Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 1:00 PM from Martin and Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Jeff Maxwell and Bishop Evett Guyton officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Waldrop, Kelland Calhoun, Brian Paul, Marty Duke, Allen Brook, and Jason Guyton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In keeping with the family’s wishes, his body will be cremated following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the music ministry at New Beginnings Church of God at P.O. Box 111, Carrollton, GA 30112. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel of Carrollton has charge of the arrangements.
