Obituary for Max Arthur Hartman

Max Arthur Hartman, age 74, of Buchanan, Georgia passed away January 24, 2018. He was born March 07, 1943 in Elkhart, Indiana, son of the late Warren Arthur Hartman and Marie Bernice Schwalm Hartman. He retired as VP of Operations with Stag-Parkway and is the owner and operator of American Pie Pizzeria in Carrollton. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Douglasville. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Brenda L. Willey Hartman of Buchanan; his children, Becky and Doug Campbell of Buchanan, Andrew “Andy” and Anna Hartman of Canton, Angie and Gary Smith of Zebulon, and Joy Hartman of Carrollton; brothers, Rudy and Lavonda Hartman, Terry and Su Hartman and Tom and Joyce Hartman all of Wakarusa, IN; and four grandchildren. Memorial service will be conducted Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 5:30 PM at Hightower Memorial Chapel located at 7034 W. Broad Street, Douglasville, GA 30134 with Dr. John Pennington and Michael Kimberly officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.martin-hightower.com. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel of Carrollton has charge of the arrangements.
