Biography

Mrs. Martha Jane Richardson Patterson, age 75, of Austin Ave., Carrollton, Ga., passed away Monday, March 1, 2010. She was born March 23, 1935 in Carrollton, Georgia the daughter of the late Elsie Elizabeth Carden Richardson and James Omer Richardson. Martha was a retired dietician having worked for Carroll Nursing & Rehab and was a member of North Point Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Connie Ray Patterson; children, Donald Roger Patterson, Dennis Ray Patterson (Judy) all of Carrollton, Janie Batchelor of McDonough, and Duane Kelly Patterson (Patricia) of Mt. Zion; adopted daughter and son in law, JoAnn & George Britt of Carrollton, niece, Sandra Mealer and nephew, Billy Chapman; sisters, Sara Marks of Arnco, Doris Clark of Newnan and Rudene Thompson of Orlando, FL.; brother, Thomas Lee Richardson of Lithia Springs; also 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 2 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Mr. Dennis Patterson, Min. J.C. Cook and Mr. Bryant Hightower officiating. Jody Huckeba, James Patterson, Frank Chapman, Harold Wilson, Christopher Ledingham and Andrew Patterson will serve as pallbearers. Billy Patterson will serve as honorary pallbearer. Music will be rendered by Jeff Pate and Alysia Wester. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5 PM until 8 PM.
