Biography

Mrs. Eva Marilyn Pierce, age 71, of Liberty, Indiana, formerly of Carrollton, Ga., passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010. She was born December 10, 1938 in Wewoka, OK., the daughter of the late James L. Wade and Nancy Picchioni Wade. Mrs. Pierce was a homemaker and a member of Concord United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Loyal Worker Sunday school class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Gibbs and a brother, James L. Wade. Survivors include her children, Thomas & Paula Russell, Jr. of Liberty, IN., Laura & Stephen Schuh of Auburn, CA., and Jeff & Elaine Stewart of Yukon, OK; sisters, June Cunningham of Wewoka, OK., and Nell Maiolatesi of Carrollton, Ga.; nephew, Frank & Carolyn Pruitt of Carrollton, Ga.; also 6 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 25, 2010 at 3 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Gary Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow in Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1 PM until the funeral hour. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Concord United Methodist Church, 4694 S. Hickory Level Rd., Carrollton, Ga. 30117.
