| Mr. Gerald O. Minton, age 69, of Park Dr., Carrollton, Ga., passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010. He was born December 14, 1940 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of the late Pauline Woosley Minton and Clarence Minton. Mr. Minton worked for the Hobart Corp as a master technician for 25 years and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Shelton Minton of Carrollton and Peoria, Ill.; children, Anthony Minton of Indianapolis, Ind., Marty Jo Wolff of Canton, Oh., Vanessa Hood of Panama City, FL., and Benjamin Hood of Carrollton, Ga.; sisters, Barbara Murray of Peoria, Ill., and Phyllis Johnson of Tampa, FL.; brother, Daryl Lee Minton of Terre Haute, Ind; grandchildren, Ryan & Danielle Minton of Indianapolis, Ind., Brittany & Kyle Barta of Canton, Oh., and Jack & Joseph Hood of Carrollton, Ga.; also great grandchildren, Lillian, Dylan, Jack, Lydia, Alina and Drydan. A memorial service will be conducted Friday, July 30, 2010 at 2 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Talmadge Chandler and Mrs. Martha Boyce officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 1 PM until the service hour.
