Arrie Rooks Norton Cheek, age 84 of Carrollton, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018. She was born October 11, 1933 in the Banning Mill Community, daughter of the late John William Rooks and Olivia Thomaston Rooks. She was a retired Cosmetologist and following retirement she worked in the Home Healthcare Field. She was a long time member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Charles L. Norton; her husband, Wilson Perry Cheek; and two sons, Stephen Wayne Norton and Dennis Lane Norton. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles Lamar Norton (Marilyn) of Dallas, GA; daughter by heart, Regina Kenerly Norton; grandchildren Jennifer L. Nightsky, Chase C. Cooper, Dannie L. Clinage, Christy N. Parrish, Tina N. Rayburn, Layla Boswell and Duane Norton also surviving are fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, May 26th at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Tommy Bailey and Pastor Bobby Driver officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM.
