Obituary for Christine S. Smith

Christine Smith, age 91 of Carrollton, passed away February 8, 2018. She was born November 17, 1926 in Carroll County, Georgia, daughter to the late Floyd W. Smith and Hattie Clark Smith. She worked for Robbins Department Store and The Leader in Carrollton for more than 40 years in the clothing retail industry. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Clinton Rickey Smith; sister, Virginia Duffey; and a brother, Eugene Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Caswell of Grantville, GA; four grandchildren: Michael (Jennifer) Caswell, Jon (Miwako) Caswell, Angelia (Kirk) Thompson and Amanda Smith; great grandchildren: Fletcher Caswell, Jennifer & William Caswell, and Ross Thompson; and daughter-in-law, Faith Smith. Funeral service will be conducted Monday, February 12, 2018 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Russell Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Hill Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the hour of service.
