Obituary for Sherry L. Smith

Sherry L. Smith, age 48 of Carrollton, joined her parents in Heaven on May 06, 2017. She was born February 01, 1969 in Carrollton, Georgia to the late Robert Johnny Perkins and Emma Jo Shoemake Perkins. She was a Mt. Zion High School graduate. She worked as a legal assistant for local Attorney Daniel Barnes for more than 8 years and was Baptist by faith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandmother, Rosie Etta Collins Perkins. She is survived by her loving husband, Jason “Brian” Smith of Carrollton; her son, Justin Smith of Carrollton; sister and brother-in-law, Leslie and Shawn Cosby of Carrollton; nephew, Jonathon Cosby; and nieces, Katie Cosby and Haley Cosby. Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, May 09, 2017 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Anthony Puckett officiating. Interment will follow in Eureka Baptist Church Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers will be John Bills, Shawn Cosby, Jonathon Cosby, Donald Gibson, D.J. Perkins, and Justin Smith. The family will receive friends at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel Monday, May 08, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.martin-hightower.com. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel of Carrollton has charge of the arrangements.
