Obituary for Terry "Keith" Smith

Terry “Keith” Smith, age 51 of Carrollton, passed away August 18, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Shelley Owens Smith, and sons, Matthew Owens of Duluth, Georgia and Zack Smith of Carrollton.
He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1985 until 1989 and worked more that 11 years with Newnan JTL water treatment facility.
He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Chester Smith and sister, Dawn Smith.
He is also survived by his mother, Barbara Irons Weeks (Kevin) of Florence, Alabama; sisters, Vickie Nesmith of Florence, Alabama, and Teresa (Gary) Russell of Tuscumbia, Alabama; and brother, Anthony (Cindy) Smith of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. A Celebration of Life will be conducted Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Martin & Hightower Heritage with Rev. Marlin Miller officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the hour of service. In keeping with the family’s wishes, his body has been cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to The Lymphoma Research Foundation at Wall Street Plaza, 88 Pine St., #2400, NY, New York 10005 or at www.lymphoma.org .
