Master Blake Alan Carroll, age 7, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. He was born on November 24, 2004 in Austell, Ga., the son of Bryan Alan Carroll and Christy Duke Carroll. Blake was a 2nd grade student at Sandhill Elementary School where he loved making new friends and truly enjoyed learning. Blake was a charismatic young man who never met a stranger and loved people. His passion in life outside his family and friends was baseball. He enjoyed a love of the game since he was old enough to hold the ball and began playing when he was 4 years old. He was a member of the Carroll County Baseball Team, in 2012 his team were the County Champs and also he was a member of the West Georgia Devils where they won the Georgia State Championship and went on to play in the World Series held in Gulf Shores, Alabama. To his family he was seen as a true gift from God they include his parents, Bryan & Christy Carroll; sister, Avery Carroll; brother, Tyler Carroll; grandparents, Frank & Margie Carroll and Scott & Sandra Duke all of Carrollton; aunt, Casey Pierce; uncles, Glenn Pierce and Louis Carroll; and cousins, C.J. & Lindsey Pierce. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 4 PM from Southern Hills Christian Church with Minister Mike Wall officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 3 PM. Pallbearers will be Glenn Pierce, Louis Carroll, Brian Sauls and Cody Sauls. Interment will follow in West Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 3:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children, Inc., 6065 Roswell Rd., NE, Ste. 505, Atlanta, GA 30328.
