The wonderful thing about technology is that it can bring people together from all over the globe to make it easier for you to find information and support networks in your time of need. The following are some of the tools available to assist you in your healing journey. If you’re still having trouble locating helpful information or finding what you need, contact us to discuss other resources and find a personalized solution to support you on the road to recovery.

Grief Share

GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. GriefShare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. We are proud to have Kim Harper, our Aftercare Coordinator and Grief Recovery Specialist, on staff to lead these seminars and give you access to valuable GriefShare resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life. Join us for one of the two GriefShare Meetings we are offering in the Spring of 2020. Each meeting time will meet at the same time every week for 13 weeks. All of these sessions will take place at our Carrollton Care Center.

First Session: Tuesday, January 14th from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM.
Second Session: Wednesday, January 15th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.

Have you recently loss your spouse? Help is here and hope is possible. Join us for our "Loss of a Spouse" seminar on Thursday, January 9th at 6:00 PM. This two-hour seminar works just like a typical GriefShare meeting or a Surviving the Holidays event, with a short video followed by small-group discussion. The video features expert Christian counselors, authors, and pastors, including new interviews with some of your favorites from the GriefShare curriculum.

The Grief Recovery Method Grief Support Group

The Action Program for Moving Beyond Death, Divorce, and Other Losses.

People say you have to let go and move on in your life, but they don’t tell you what you need to do to accomplish that. The Grief Recovery Method Outreach Program not only makes that possible, but provides partnerships and guidance to ensure that it happens. We have two Grief Recovery Method Specialists, trained and certified by the Grief Recovery Institute, on staff. Cason Hightower and Kim Harper lead support groups that offer a safe, evidence-based environment for grievers to take effective and lasting action, no matter the type of loss experienced. 1-on-1 support is also available, this 7-meeting format utilizes the same proven materials as the group programs in a more private setting.
